Welcome to the web side of Candoland cattery. My name is Zuzana Taligova and this web side is dedicated to Candy Blossom- my first cat from the Sacred Birman race and to her future descendants. :)

As everything in the life it was by chance that I started with breeding. I had been working in Norway during summer 2007. Sometimes I felt really alone and I missed my family and friends. So I decided to bring a pet to my life. :) At the beginning I was interested in the race of Norwegian forest cats. I realized that it was a great opportunity to import some good Norwegian forest cat straight from its country of origin to Slovakia. So I started to search the right One on internet. :) I had found many catteries with many beautiful cats of this race in Norway and also in Sweden. But none of these cats have captured my heard and soul in such a deep way as a small kitten which I found after long searching one day at 3:30 a.m. on internet. She was smiling at me with her deep blue eyes from the PC screen and I was falling madly in love with her. I have never seen such a gorgeous cat before. Even that I did not have any knowledge of this race, I decided immediately. “This magic cat must be mine in any case!” :)
That was the first step forward to get in contact with a breeder of Sacred Birman cats from south Norway- Anette Vik. In this case, my special Thanks go to Anette for her permission to Candy´s adoption.

Our cattery is situated in a small village in the west part of Slovakia. We are a member of ZO Felis Tirnavia (The local organization for cat breeders located in Trnava). It is a part of SZCH (Slovak national union of all breeders) which belongs to FIFE (Federation Internationale Feline).

We breed a special semi longhaired race of cats with beautiful character features. We do our best to give our cats everything what they need. We spend a lot of time with playing, cuddling, feeding and brushing. Our philosophy is to breed healthy and happy cats ready for their new home.
